Worship and Pizza Fundraiser

A night of loud worship and food. We’ll be playing the songs we’ve written for our upcoming CD project and serving pizza and soda pop, aimed at raising donations to fund the recording.
Men’s movie night

Our Thursday morning men’s group is sponsoring a 6-movie marathon. Food, fun, hilarity together for all men. This month, 4 of 6, 7pm in the church cafe.
Cookout at the Mission

Join us at 4:30 for prep and 5:30 for dinner at Augusta Rescue Mission. Enjoy dinner and conversation as we serve the guests there.
Newcomer’s Lunch

Right after church at noon.
If you’re new at the church, you may be interested in finding out more about us. This meeting is designed to help you to know ‘where the bus is going’. Free lunch is included for all participants.
Jeff will share the history and beginnings of VCC, where we’ve come since then, and where we’re going. You’ll also learn about the vision and values of the church, what we do and why we do it. At the end we’ll have a time of questions and answers, as well as a survey of how you can get involved in the life of the church.
This meeting will be very informative in helping you discover if VCC is your ‘church home’.
Nursing Home Visitation

Every 3rd Monday of the month, members of VCC visit the residents of Augusta Gardens Nursing Home. These folks seldom leave the facility and have limited outside contact. What a joy to share time, conversation, and a listening ear with these wonderful men and women. Sometimes we also sing old hymns and share a Bible lesson, as the residents enjoy having a “church service”. You are invited to get outside of yourself and be a neighbor.

Half-day prayer retreat

The church is invited into the wilderness of prayer for our souls and our church. A guided four-hour time of individual and corporate prayer, worship, and picnic together. Located at Mistletoe State Park.
Family camping at the lake
Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 12:00am
Tent camping at Clark’s Hill Lake for families. Bonfire, cookout, batting embers into the water at midnight. Sign up Sunday and listen for more details. All are welcome! Friday and Saturday 10/15 and 10/16.
